Who we are
David De Bruyn, founder of Alde Manuce, likes to say that he was born in a printing office. At twelve and as a game, he created entire pages of lead block letters, in his uncle’s printing house in Brussels. Later, a higher education in graphic arts communication and a BA in social and political science allowed him to work in advertising agencies. He worked at Ted Bates then TBWA, as production assistant then production manager.
At the end of the 80s, his passion for printing encouraged him to seize the opportunity to create his own printing office, in the suburbs of Brussels. He sold it eight years later, to take on the marketing management of an important printing firm, before joining the Belgian subsidiary of a European group. In February 2012, David De Bruyn decided to invest his know-how, his energy and his maturity in his new company: Alde Manuce, production platform specialised in publishing.
